Reducing fuel consumption in the transportation sector and accelerating adoption of economically viable alternative forms of energy, provides this year's Forum with increased importance. The 2007 Department of Energy (DOE) Opportunity Forum® will, as in the past, showcase small advanced technology firms with viable advanced technology solutions. However, this year's Forum will also provide an opportunity for those involved with larger programmatic solutions offered by the Department of Energy to brief the audience and provide relevant information. Panels representing various aspects of Initiatives in the Consumer and Automotive Market, Alternative Energies, and Investing in Advanced Energy Solutions will be included.
