John Dearing

John Dearing, a vice president and project manager for Virtual Strategies since 1996, leads acquisition project teams and coordinates corporate development efforts for financial and strategic buyers in manufacturing and service industries including outsourced human resources, medical devices and life sciences, contract manufacturing, food processing, specialty chemicals, transportation and environmental consulting. Mr. Dearing gained additional consulting experience and privatization expertise while attending the Institute of European Studies in Vienna, Austria. His background also includes experience with the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the Americas Division, where he developed international banking and finance skills. As co-administrator of a health care insurance fund, Mr. Dearing focused on accounting and operational efficiencies for profit and not-for-profit corporate entities. Mr. Dearing received his Master of Business Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of Toastmasters International and the Washington Society of Investment Analysts, Treasurer of Bucknell’s alumni board, and the founder of an investment partnership.
